In year one, the average merchant earns about 50,000 points on card sales at 1 point per $25, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to 20,000.
FairPayments (Nuvei Preferred Partner) earns 1 Velocity Point for every $25 of net card sales, once you take at least $10,000 a month on cards. New merchants may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to 20,000 points. Points are paid to your business, linked to your ABN. You can move them to an employee's Velocity Frequent Flyer account, at least 3,000 points at a time. American Express and Diners Club transactions don't earn points. Points are credited monthly, after your statement for the month before.
To be eligible for the sign-on bonus you need $20,000 in card sales in your first month, a 3-year contract, and Business Flyer joined or linked within 60 days. One sign-on bonus per Business Flyer member. The bonus is at FairPayments' discretion. Approval and identity checks apply. Points can't be redeemed for cash. Is this an intro offer?
This is not an intro offer. This is an ongoing offer for new merchants in auto, wholesale food and trade supplies.
Do I have to send a statement?
The rate doesn't depend on one. The form does ask for a driver's licence and a bank statement, so we can set the terminal up in your name and pay into the right account.
Do I have to change banks?
Not always. It depends on the provider and where the money lands. We'll tell you what the setup needs. It doesn't change the rate.
Does it work with my POS?
FairPayments (Nuvei Preferred Partner) connects to point-of-sale software through Linkly. Tyro integrates directly with its POS and PMS partners. Tell us what you use and we'll check it before you switch.
What changed on 1 October?
Surcharges on eftpos, Visa and Mastercard ended. The fee comes out of the sale now. Weekend, public holiday and service fees are a separate thing. Plenty of businesses are still on a rate from before the banks cut theirs.
